“Being an artisan means combining creativity with a specific skillset.  Plenty of artisans today still use their hands to own their craft.  I want to show the next generation a career path they can build with their hands.”

WHO IS DUSTIN ANDERSON ?
A third-generation glazier on his father’s side, Dustin’s mother, Becky, taught him to be creative and artistic in everything he did. He and his dad, Earl, grew Anderson Glass from a one-truck business to an active four-truck operation.  Dustin also tapped into his creative side when he and a partner established D1 Design Group. The firm designs custom display spaces for some of the U.S.’s biggest professional and college sports programs.

The lifelong Waco, Texas resident achieved a measure of fame when he became a regularly-appearing artisan on the hit HGTV show “Fixer Upper” as Chip and Joanna Gaines’s resident glass guy.

Dustin has a passion for helping young people understand they can chart their own paths in life, especially if that means earning a living as a hands-on creative artisan. He also loves to spread the word about the fantastic work done by talented, hard-working makers. Through the Artisan Project, he’ll accomplish both goals as he inspires audiences throughout the process.
